NATIONS BARBECUE - EDITION 1: CELEBRATING DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT

On September 27, 2025, at Jarry Park in Montreal, the Afrique-Canada Solidarity Foundation (SAC) successfully hosted the first edition of the Nations Barbecue, a vibrant community event dedicated to promoting cultural diversity, social inclusion, and togetherness.

In a warm and festive atmosphere, participants from a wide range of cultural and national backgrounds came together to share a memorable day of friendship and solidarity. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes inspired by different culinary traditions, creating an opportunity to discover new flavors while celebrating the richness of multiculturalism.

The event was made possible through the dedication and hard work of numerous volunteers whose generosity and commitment ensured a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Their efforts reflected the values of compassion, service, and community that are at the heart of the Foundation's mission.

Special attention was given to individuals living alone, many of whom face social isolation and loneliness. To extend the spirit of sharing beyond the gathering itself, participants were invited to take meals home, ensuring that the warmth and generosity of the event could continue long after the barbecue ended.

The success of this first edition demonstrated the power of bringing people together through food, culture, and meaningful human connections. It strengthened bonds among community members and highlighted the importance of creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcomed and valued.
