The Fondation Solidarité Afrique-Canada (SAC) was born in 2025 from the joint determination of African community leaders based in Quebec and professionals committed to social justice.
Faced with systemic discrimination, isolation and the challenges faced by immigrants - particularly black and racialized communities - they decided to create an organization that would promote sustainable solutions.
This project is the fruit of concrete local initiatives, a strong community base and a clear ambition: to transform the integration process into an experience of autonomy, recognition and civic commitment.
What began as a neighborhood mobilization has today become a structuring player in social inclusion, driven by rigorous governance and fundamental values: concrete solidarity, active listening and valuing cultural diversity.
The SAC Foundation's mission is to act as a transformative lever for the global integration of immigrants, with a focus on autonomy, social justice and real equality.
Our actions are organized around three axes:
🏠 Sustainable anchorage: support towards stable housing, dignified employment, and mastery of the French language
⚖️ Real equity: combating barriers to access to services (health, justice, education).
🌱 Collective fulfillment: creating secure environments for mental health, confidence and cultural identity.
Our programs, co-constructed with communities, aim to overcome obstacles to bring about pathways to success. Because integrating is much more than adapting: it's about contributing, flourishing and transforming society together.

At SAC, we believe in the power of the collective. For us, solidarity isn't just about helping out on an ad hoc basis, it's about walking side by side with those who experience exclusion, forging lasting and genuine bonds. It manifests itself in every concrete gesture, every active listening ear, every shared mobilization.
For the SAC Foundation, inclusion means recognizing, welcoming and valuing each person in their uniqueness. It's not just a question of offering a place at the table, but of rethinking the table itself so that everyone can contribute freely, without having to renounce their identity.
Everyone deserves to be treated with empathy, integrity and consideration, whatever their origins, vulnerabilities or status. We reject any form of stigmatization, paternalism or impersonal treatment.
At ASC, the individual is always at the center: his or her needs, dreams and abilities guide our approach, which remains human, tailored and non-judgmental.
We recognize that structural inequalities require differentiated responses. For us, equity means adapting our tools, our paths and our support to specific obstacles: systemic racism, discrimination in hiring, language barriers, administrative or economic insecurity.
We measure our impact by concrete results: real access to housing, stable employment, psychological well-being, skills development.
SAC is committed to a society where cultures interact on an equal footing, without implicit hierarchies or symbolic domination.
This involves :
- popular education, to deconstruct stereotypes and reinforce critical knowledge,
- intercultural mediation, to prevent or ease tensions in diverse contexts,
- co-construction of public policies with the communities concerned, for a truly inclusive democracy.
For us, intercultural justice is a prerequisite for living together that goes beyond mere tolerance: it's based on mutual recognition and the transformation of structures.
At the SAC Foundation, we have a bold vision: to build a Canada where every immigrant, especially those from black and racialized communities, finds not only their place but also the means to achieve their full potential.
Be a catalyst for real inclusion, where systemic barriers fall and give way to equitable opportunities.
Become the reference in empowerment by offering programs and projects that turn challenges into lasting successes.
Create a collective movement, where institutions, citizens, and communities work together for a fairer and more united society.
